My name is Mickey Lillibridge and I am running for County Board Supervisor, District 1.
You might recognize me from our local DMV here in Manitowoc where I recently retired from after a long and educational career. This experience, along with other work in the public sector has provided a wealth of professional skills that would help me succeed in elected service, including detail-oriented processing skills, people management focuses and reading, interpreting and applying state statutes.
I am also a Navy veteran, pro-constitution and pro-life. My wife and I moved to Manitowoc from the west coast to raise our children and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Manitowoc has been a wonderful place to raise a family and now I feel I need to do my part to ensure it continues to be so.
I’ve discussed our wonderful city with many constituents. There are consistent concerns, including taxation, safety in
our neighborhoods and schools and the conditions of our roads. I believe Bob Ziegelbauer has done a good job
holding the line on taxes, supporting law enforcement and maintaining our roads and bridges, but there is always
room for improvement. Accountability and improvement will be my main focus.
My top two priorities as a board member would be to control the tax burden on the residents of Manitowoc County and support law enforcement. I would like to see Manitowoc County deliver the best possible services for the least amount of cost, providing a safe environment and high quality of life for both the people already living here and the people and businesses we want to attract.
Thank you very much for your time.
